What’s Open on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Good news. More of the Blue Ridge Parkway is open! So, now is a great time to visit Asheville, North Carolina. Eleven miles reopened in Buncombe County; we expect more to open soon.

Here’s a short list of standout spots that are open now:

  • Humpback Rocks – A quick climb with a big payoff. Expect mountain views and a restored farm site.
  • Mabry Mill – Iconic and photogenic. Watch seasonal demos like blacksmithing and corn grinding.
  • Peaks of Otter – Peaceful trails, a charming lodge, and plenty of spots to picnic.
  • Blue Ridge Music Center – Tap your toes to live Appalachian tunes and browse the music heritage exhibits.
  • The Bluffs Restaurant at Doughton Park – Scenic views served with comfort food.
  • Folk Art Center – Home to regional craftwork and rotating exhibitions by local artisans.
  • Waterrock Knob – One of the best spots for sunset or sunrise along the Parkway.
