“Stay Home, Stay Safe” Declaration Takes Effect TONIGHT March 26 at 8 p.m. for Hotels, Bed & Breakfast Operations, and Short-Term Rental Properties
Yesterday March 26, Buncombe County issued a Supplemental Declaration of a Local State of Emergency in response to the coronavirus and COVID-19 pandemic, and in response to the declaration of emergency issued by the State of North Carolina.
The “Stay Home, Stay Safe” order takes effect TONIGHT, March 26, at 8 p.m. and expires at 6 a.m. on April 9. It prohibits leisure and recreation travelers from visiting Buncombe County or be subject to a quarantine for the duration of their stay, up to 14 days, even if the 14-day period extends beyond the duration of the declaration.
